Without sufficient evidence (yet) the 'not many used' is what I would
recommend + once you know they're OK - keep to them. When you're running a
series about fonts, with a fresh bunch every issue, that's not advice you can
take. ;-(

In retrospect I believe I applied a great deal of superstitious behaviour (ie
making sure I did things a certain way that probably made no difference) but I
do intend to find out just what needs to be done (fonts, graphics, &c) to be
sure that the end result of a RISC OS pdf will be right before the printers
ring up.
