Dear David,
I am having a frequent problem with Ovation Pro. I am accustomed to
defining styles and using them when editing documents. I find them
very useful.
Sometimes if I am editing a document and I apply a style, I discover
it needs some adjustment, and I go into style editing with
Control-Shift-E, where I can make the necessary alterations. Very
often I find that the defined Scope in the top icon of the dialogue
window shows as Paragraph when I feel sure I originally had set it as
Line or Selection. Is there some default operating here which I have
failed to understand? I am aware that if I display the default
document and open the Style dialogue the bodytext style is set to
Paragraph, but I had not expected this would affect all sorts of
styles when they had been deliberately set to other scopes!
Can you advise what is going wrong?
I am using version 2.74 of March 2004.
Yours sincerely, Robin.
