If I'm understanding this properly, the error can be corrected by
selecting the line, then,
Menu => Text => Modify text... => Set V shift to -50% => Click 'OK'

Unfortunately no! Ovation *thinks* it has drawn the embedded object where
it should have done. If you move the object down, it still *thinks* that it
is 50% of the line thickness below where it's really drawn it so the line of
text jumps back up and the embedded line still goes outside the box.
For the pedants, I know it doesn't think. Saying that it does avoids the
need for me to do it!
