On the face of it, PDF import seems like it should be useful for filling

I often fill in forms using Ovation Pro, usually they're printed on
paper, so I scan the form into an OP frame (using the TWAIN applet)
then overlay small text boxes for the information I want to add. These
text frames I set to have 0mm inset, align to centre, transparent
background colour, centred text. Having created one I ALT+Shift drag
copies to the other fields in the form.
This was helpful. I eventually settled on RISCOS !PDF to create a series
of draw files from the original pdf form and dropped the draw files into
OPW. This gave much better quality background images than could be
obtained by scanning the form, and smaller file sizes. I followed your
recommendations for overlaying text frames, with one modification --
when I wanted to position a single line of text above a dotted line on
the form, I found it easier to set align to bottom and position the
lower edge of the text frame exactly on the dotted line (so that the
text appeared just above the dotted line).
Were it not for the font mapping problem, RiScript would have had one
advantage over !PDF, since it allows you to save a multi-page pdf as a
series of draw files in one go, whereas with !PDF you have to save the
pages individually.
Does anyone know of a pdf reader for Windows that can save/export as
Acorn draw files?
