ISTR the settings are saved in each document.
So a per document setting which you'd have to change in every document
you have.
I think it would be possible to write a script that automatically turned
off the toolbar etc. whenever a document was loaded. A crude version of
that might be to set up with detached toolbar etc. and position them out
of sight.
PS. I keep meaning to say, thanks for posting, I thought we were about
to go through a month without a posting here.
