Flickering also stops if you de-activate !IdxPro (!IdxPro-).
And then !TextPal gives no problem.
As far as I know there is no 32-bit compatible version of IdxPro
freely available and the copyright holder, David Breakwell, has
vanished in thin air.
It is a sophisticated indexing applet. A guide how to use it is on
Chris Johnson's site.
