resolved from now on to make comprehensive notes of *anything* I change so
that I can refer back in case of problems, something I should have been
doing anyway.
I once encountered someone who worked in industrial testing, he produced wonderful notes of everything he did with my software. Personally I lack the time, inclination and skill to do that.
Perhaps the OS could keep a record, I suppose that the Windows roll back etc. that came in with XP amounts to the same thing.
I once watched people typing at computers, and it was always intriguing when they'd come across some sort of problem, which they'd caused and I'd seen them do it, but they had no recollection themselves.
