[softwarelist] OvationPro (RISCOS) oddity

OvationPro version 277 has suddenly developed strange behaviour. When
typing text I cannot obtain the ordinary alphabet e.g. if I type a 't'
(without quotes) the character is an 'a' circumflex (again without quotes),
etc. Clearly I have done something dastardly, but I have no idea what.
I am using an Iyonix, OS version 5.09. The only thing I remember doing
recently was to include the new function in the !MergeLib file as per
David's message on 15 May. I have reinstated the original file (without the
extra function) but it hasn't made any difference - not that I expected it
to, but it was worth a try. I am sorry to be so vague, but I'm at a loss to
understand why it is happening.
For what it's worth, EasiWriter and TextEase do not exhibit the aberrant
behaviour with fonts.
If anyone has any ideas, I should be very grateful.

It is said that if you line up all the cars in the world end to end, someone
would be stupid enough to try and pass them.
