Hi,
When a picture is copied in Ovation Pro, a pointer to the original
picture is created. This means that if you have a number of copies of a
large image in a document, the document occupies only a few bytes more
than if it contained just a single copy of the large image.
There's a bug though, images imported via the TWAIN applet don't have
this property, if you make one copy the amount of memory used is
doubled.
I've just fixed this problem. You can install the latest version of the
TWAIN applet which is available from:
http://www.davidpilling.info/cd/DavidPilling/Applets/Twain.oap
(double click to install or use install from Applets-> Applet manager)
Alternatively you can install the latest version of Ovation Pro (2.92
13th. December 2007) from:
