[softwarelist] Re: OPW - Enhanced justification

In message <4ffbbf85d8chris@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>, Chris Johnson <chris@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> writes
couldn't produce similar stuff using the standard Microsoft apps. I
suggested OPro for windows, but of course that wasn't on the
University 'approved' apps

<rhetorical ?> I wonder who does the approving and on what basis.</?>

, and would also cost money.

I suspect anyone determined could use it for free, given the way the "try before you buy" system works.

Incidently, I have recently started going through some of my archived
posts from this list with a view to updating the hints and tips
section of my alternative OPro resources site, although I do wonder
how much it is still used.

I imagine you will have log files on the server that tell you that.

I think the glory days of Acorn, Ovation etc. are behind us. The contents of your resource site show how much enthusiasm there once was. Thanks for your support.

The URL of Chris's site is:

http://www.chris-johnson.org.uk/ovationpro/

and the one on my web site (with index.html tacked on) is wrong... I will go and fix it. Actually there are two versions the one on the Windows CD area is wrong.
