Solved it. For some reason the following line in the DDL ...
COL_01={colour "Black" {cmyk 0x0 0x0 0x0 0x10000}{lock 1}{overprintlimit
0xe666}}
... had changed to:
COL_01={colour "Black" {cmyk 0x0 0x0 0x0 0xcccc}{lock 1}{overprintlimit
0xe666}}
