That's what the printers said- I think that's what they meant, (by this
time I was blagging my knowledge as I was completely baffled). I thought
that they were bull s****ing, and given the responses here, it would seem
that they were. 

Apparently 'it is not possible for a magazine to be produced professionally
on anything other that XP (just wait a min while I kill myself laughing) or
a mac', which I have subsequently bought and am no better off!
