I think the original poster wanted a file name that auto updated. If youjust want to insert the current file name:


Insert+Control = filename
Insert+Shift     = full path

ALT+Drag and drop an object into text inserts the full path


ISTR the Windows Power Toys offer a copy filename/path to clipboard.
