What options are you thinking of?
With booklet you print 4 pages on each side of each sheet of paper. That's fine if what you're printing has a multiple of 8 pages. Suppose the number of pages divided by eight has a remainder less than or equal to 4. In that case half of the last sheet of paper will be blank and thrown away. So it is possible (and the existing booklet script does this) to offer an option to print the remainder pages twice on the last sheet of paper.
