It might well. ;-)

Is there any documentation on the imposition interface and the script
commands available? Or would we have to start with the scripts in the
imposition applet to work out what they're doing and proceed from there?

I'm thinking that for a larger document you'd want to specify the number of
pages per signature and have the script calculate which pages go where.

Possibly have the script anaylse the document and suggest signature
size including a different size final signature. 

Allow creep to cater for the fact that the trimmed pages in the centre of a
section are slightly smaller than at the section ends.

Probably a prompt of how many blank pages will have to be added to the final
signature.

Make all gutters definable.

What other parameters need to be considered?

I'll have a go at the logic of what needs defining, what calculations are
required to make the definition work, and start developing a flow chart.
