OPro v2.77 quit as I tried a find and replace action today.
Highlight '=92'
Ctrl-c copy to clipboard
F4
Ctrl-v to paste '=92' in Find icon
Type ' in Replace icon
Tick Find from Start
Click Go
OPro quits without error.
All that is fair enough. Quiting without an error... can be due to lack
of memory, bump up the wimp slot in !Run (at the end). The trick is to
open a spool file,
F12
*spool mylog
<return>
<action that makes program vanish>
F12
*spool
<return>
the log file may then contain some text saying what has happened.
I restarted OPro and tried to repeat it but it stayed running, first
claiming "Not Found!", then after a few more attempts, it worked!
Is this some feature of F&R whereby it won't see a character until the
second attempt? I often notice that Find & Replace will claim "Not
Found!" on the first attempt, then will find it at another try.
The missing not found might be due to not ticking 'find from start' or
'all stories'.
I do know there was a bug where OP didn't scan all the stories in a
document.
I've now installed SRWE 0.03.
So does that mean you're talking about SRWE throughout, or the built in
find/replace?
Presumably the built in version since you pressed F4?
I'm just wondering why confuse matters with SRWE if you're not using it.
