i too have a large document -- a book, 7MB, umpteen chapters -- and am 
about to have a go at indexing.

i tried the Index applet first.  went through the text and tagged all 
the relevant words in the way the applet expects.  it was very very 
slow about generating the index -- and its eventual result got only as 
far as the A section.

then discovered the Idxpro applet (from Chris Johnson's site).  still 
need to come to grips with it; havent generated anything yet with it.

i hope i won't have to re-do all the tagging in the text.
is my new masterpage size (see separate thread) going to scupper the 
indexing?

advice welcome!
i'm quite a newbie in OPro, and i do have a knack for wanting to do 
things that seem obvious to me but turn out to be awkward.
