There's some complexity. Something like set image processing to force everything to white - render a bitmap, then set it to force everything to black render another bit map, then AND those two bitmaps together and you've got all the pixels that the vector image touches.
There's a PD prog that converts AW to Sprites, presumably if there are problems it will also suffer from them.
