SELF PORTRAIT is a solo dealing with the notion of the self.  Primary research focused on the self and its relation to the context in which it belongs to.  ZITA presented the first version of an introvert however intense performance that functioned between silence and noise, absolute stillness and movement, image and emotion.  SELF PORTRAIT has now become a SELF comment; a reflection upon the work's structural elements.  The performer's role is both to speak and dance, create intimacy and distance with the audience, become the observer and the observed.
