IX Buenos Aires International Video Dance Festival
With the intent of promoting research and reflection related to this
artistic medium, the ninth edition of the Buenos Aires International
VideoDance Festival will provide workshops, seminars, artistic exchanges,
works in progress, conferences, and an international symposium of highly
recognized international artists working in the field. Along with the
Festival Dança em Foco of Brazil and FIVU- Festival Internacional de
Videodanza de Uruguay, VideoDanzaBA integrates the network Mercosur
VideoDance Circuit (CVM), which will launch its second DVD at the festival
in Buenos Aires. Among our most distinguished participants are Simon Fildes
(United Kingdom), Alison Murray (Canada), Hélène Lesterlin (United States)
and Alexandre Veras (Brazil).

Special Events
-Launch of the Second Mercosur VideoDance Circuit DVD, a compilation created
in collaboration with Dança em Foco (Brazil) and FIVU (Uruguay).
VideoDanzaBA will be responsible for the distribution of this material.
-Daniel Böhm and Mariana Blutrach will debut Sólo hombres solos in
Argentina.
-Margarita Bali's installation: Acuario electrónico in her studio at Zabala
3040, on Saturday and Sunday November 10th and 11th.
-Bailando en un sueño: Imágenes de la danza en el cine argentino. (Dancing
in a dream: Images of dance in Argentine cinema) Screening and discussion
with critic Diego Trerotola.
-Master Class with Simon Fildes and Margarita Bali: Installing dance. Dance
and Interactivity in Multiple Formats
