[dance-tech] Troika Ranch: Summer Tour + Workshops

Dear Dance Tech List,

Hi all... We're about to head off to England to show 16 [R]evolutions in various locations throughout the country, as well as giving two performances in Germany and then one in Fresno, California in July. If you saw the work in progress at Digital Cultures (thank you Johannes!) we hope you will have the chance to see how the work developed into its longer version.

Also, we have three workshops you might attend this summer. Deadlines for these are fast approaching, so if you are interested in participating, please apply soon.

For those in the London area, we'll be giving a talk at the Apple Store in London again on April 21st... appropriately jet-lagged since we arrive that morning. ;-)

APPLE STORE UK:

We will be giving a presentation at London's Apple Store on Regent St. on April 21st. We will demonstrate how we are using our software Isadora in tandem with cutting-edge, camera-based motion tracking systems to allow our performers directly manipulate video and sound with their movement. WORKSHOPS: UK, CALIFORNIA, NYC

Troika Ranch will be teaching several workshops this summer: in New York, California and in the UK. If you want to explore the use of interactive computer technology in the creation and performance of dance, theater, installation, or related live artworks, we would encourage you to join us.

NYC: Application Deadline May 1st! Our NYC summer intensive for media artists will run from July 24th through August 4th. http://www.troikaranch.org/livei.html for complete details.

UK: A three day intensive for dance and media artists will be held at Epping Forest Arts from May 30th through June 1st. Details at http://www.essexdance.co.uk/pages/profprojects.htm

CALIFORNIA: Application Deadline May 19th! We will be teaching and performing at the California State University Summer Arts program starting July 2nd. This workshop is tailored for choreographers and dancers, and will culminate with an informal performance created as a collaboration between Troika Ranch and the workshop participants.
