[dance-tech] OT - iMac G5 external monitor firmware hack

Hello out there...
 
I was wondering if anyone has experience with hacking the firmware on an iMac 
G5 to allow the DVI out to actually be a second monitor rather than only 
mirroring the primary monitor.  
 
 obviously this would make that machine much more viable as a performance rig 
for video work...
 
 just looking for someone who had 'gone before'
