ROME LECTURE ANNOUNCEMENT:
MOTION CAPTURE INTERACTIVE AGENT ON LIVE SCENE
in collaboration with the Sport and Human Movement Sciences Department -
University Institute of Motory Science of Rome
The MOTION CAPTURE INTERACTIVE AGENT ON LIVE SCENE Lecture closes up the PYCTA
project, a multimedia operative system planned by ALTROEQUIPE for the necessity
of pluridirectional actions capable of producing transversal interests between
creation, formation and communication, and making, beside the traditional
audience, even multiple and different kind of public flow together.
The Lecture is the first step of an international study and evaluation run that
ALTROEQUIPE wishes to begin in the next years. It also offers the opportunity
to understand better new researches that move on the live scene between art and
technology. Moreover, in this occasion it would be useful to compare ideas and
cognitive processes with other international situations which treat with
"responsive environment", new scene, to interact and create other possible
realities, where the multi-sensorial surge flows from the actual to the
simulate, in a "co-definition process of living being circularity". (F.Varela).
Simulated environment becomes a place of knowledge as the result of the
interactions between agents and feedbacks coming from the modification of the
living environment. The cognitive condition which makes the being theatre,
comes from this real and digital circle of the changing bodies.
This initiative is for professionals and university students who treat new
technologies, specifically the Motion Capture and Motion Graphics applied to
performing arts, dance, sound, architecture and multimedia production of cinema
and television.
Moreover, it is for the ones who got serious interest for the research of new
working methods between performance and technologies, where the multimedia show
of PYCTA and the Stereoplastic Workshop 2, realized at Teatro Vascello of Rome
in September 2006, are examples of this research.
Plan PYCTA has been realized with the contribution of the REGIONE LAZIO Beni e
Attività Culturali Sport
