Thanks Tom, your suggestion was right. It was a permissions issue.

Can I ask another newbie question?

I was wondering how to search the logs back more than a day.

Using the ASSP web interface, it seems to search the last 24 hours (even
though I have it set to search in "all log files")

I see I can use Console to go to /var/log/assp and click on each days
assp.log.X.gz file... But there as well, I'm not sure how to search
through all of them.

Hi John: Have you tried searching the log folder using GREP? (instead of searching individual logs)

Thanks!

Make sure the permissions are all set on the files to write.

Beginner ASSP v1.8.5.3 question on how ASSP works.

I figured out how to use the ASSP to whitelist an email address by
sending an email to: add-to-whitelist@xxxxxxxxxx

And it adds it to the whitelist. Is there a way to view the ASSP
whitelist besides the ASSP Web interface?

Anyway, my main question is... It looks like there is a feature where
an ASSP admin (and maybe users too?) can use the interface to submit
an email to be blacklisted by emailing: assp-black@xxxxxxxxxx

I gave it a try and got an email that says:

pcworld@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx: added to blackListedDomains addresses

But is ASSP supposed to actually add the email address or domain
(pcworld@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx) to the ASSP file located at:
file:files/blackdomains.txt ?

It doesn't seem to for me and I'm not sure if it is even supposed to.

And I have the same question on forwarding a spam email to:
report-spam@xxxxxxxxxx

I can forward an spam to report-spam@xxxxxxxxxx and get a message
back saying "Thank you for reporting."

But is there somewhere in ASSP I can see what ASSP did with the
forwarded spam email and it's address? Did it add it to it's list of
known spammer email addresses?
