You might just want to download the installer (which isn't really and installer per se) and look and the config template and the files in files to see changes updates that help with performance.
If you are not seeing periodic slowdowns like other have periodically seen, go ahead and give 1.5.1.6 a try 

I am going to 1.5.1.8 now.
