[cseb national] Pest Management Advisory Council - Request for candidates

I received a request today regarding a potential role for CSEB with respect
to the Pest Management Advisory Council. Please read the information below,
and let me know if you are interested in representing CSEB. I will put
interested people¹s names in front of the Board and ask for a letter of
support on behalf of the selected candidate. Don¹t let this opportunity to

The Pest Management Regulatory Agency is a branch of Health Canada that is
responsible for the regulation of pesticides and pest management issues in
Canada. We have a Pest Management Advisory Council (PMAC) that provides
advice directly to the Minister of health.  Currently we are conducting a
membership review to identify potential candidates to fill up a number of
vacanc seats. I will refer you to the web page that contains more detailed

Appointed members are expected to participate in meetings that are held over
a two-day period twice a year in Ottawa. Members are compensated for travel
expenses but no honorarium is paid. Given that we consider several factors
to balance representation among our 23 members on the basis of gender,
language and regions, we would suggest that the organisation submits a few
names of interested candidates with the appropriate documentation.

We require that individuals submit a c.v. and a short biography, along with
a letter of support from the organisation. This can be done electronically.
