[cseb] If you are having trouble unsubscribing from the CSEB list

Hello CSEB members,

Now that we've had the mailing list up and running for a while, I thought it
would be a good time to work out a few of the bugs.

(1) trouble unsubscribing

If your attempts to unsubscribe from the list are not successful, please
email me at smartin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Usually, the problem occurs
because the email address that is subscribed to the list isn't the one that
you are telling the list to remove. I have chosen NOT to show the email
addresses on the list so that the email addresses aren't used by other
people or harvested for commercial use. The drawback of this approach is
that you can't see what email address you're subscribed under. If you
contact me directly, I would be happy to tell you which address is
subscribed.

(2) email volume

Please don't bother posting emails that you feel the volume of the list is
too high. Sometimes you will not get any mail from the list for a long time,
and at other times you will receive several at once, for one main reason.
The list is moderated, so I have to look at every email to see if it's
worthy of being posted. Therefore, when I check my email in the morning
there are generally a lot of emails which have come in from people who are
in different timezones than myself. These tend to get posted at the same
time. I try to post emails which are relevant to CSEB members, and at times
A REPRESENTATIVE SAMPLE of the posts I receive. The remaining posts are
forwarded to the originator of the discussion.

Thank you for your patience in starting up this list. I have received a lot
of positive feedback, and people generally seem very pleased to have this as
a new method of communication.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Shawn
