I am pleased to be able to announce a foundation Chair in Outdoor and
Environmental Education at LaTrobe University, Bendigo.

CHAIR OF OUTDOOR EDUCATION AND ENVIRONMENT
La Trobe University has identified Education as a teaching and
research priority and has established the Faculty of Education as one
of the five faculties of the University. Applications are invited for
the Foundation Chair of Outdoor Education and Environment, one of
three Chairs in Education currently being offered.
The position is located at the Bendigo Campus in the School of Outdoor
Education and Environment. The regional City of Bendigo, with a
population of approximately 85,000, is about 160 kms from the
Victorian State capital, Melbourne.
The appointee will be a Professor of the University and will be
responsible to the Dean of the Faculty of Education for academic and
professional leadership in the School of Outdoor Education and
Environment. The appointee also will have the option to serve as Head
of School.
The School of Outdoor Education and Environment has a reputation for
delivering high quality teaching programs which combine outdoor
education and environmental studies. Courses at both undergraduate and
postgraduate levels focus on the cultural and environmental dimensions
of education in natural environments, and have extensive practical
components which develop outdoor guiding and environmental
interpretation skills.

Remuneration (for all three positions): Aus$126,438 which includes 17%
employer superannuation contributions.
