           Full-Time Fisheries Biologist  (Gwich'in Renewable =
           Resource Board)

The = Gwich'in Renewable Resource Board (GRRB) is looking for a full-time fisheries biologist who = will be responsible for coordinating and conducting fisheries research projects = and the management of fish resources in the Gwich'in Settlement Area (GSA).

Responsibilities: The fisheries biologist's = main duties include managing fieldwork for ongoing fisheries research projects and = develop new fisheries research projects in consultation with local Renewable = Resource Councils (RRCs) within the GSA. Duties also include analyzing data and = preparing reports outlining the results of GRRB fisheries research projects, = working with community RRCs to ensure community involvement in research projects, = identifying fisheries research concerns and provide fisheries expertise when needed.



Education/Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in fisheries, biology, or a similar field and = past work experience in fisheries research and management. Preference will be = given to candidates who have a Master of Science degree.



Salary: Salary ranges between $50,000 and $55,000 depending on qualifications plus = northern living allowance and competitive benefits package.
