Greetings!
Below is a survey from the Cdn Environmental Assessment Agency related
to a proposed "knowledge network" focused on environmental
assessment. Through the CSEB, they are seeking input from Canadian
biologists. Please see the instructions below for more information. If
you have any questions about the survey, contact Pauline Lynch-Stewart.

Hello,
The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency is exploring the
potential of a national, collaborative online knowledge system to
improve environmental assessment, and particularly regional and
cumulative effects assessment.
As part of this exploration, the Agency has commissioned Lynch-
Stewart & Associates to determine the knowledge management
requirements of EA stakeholders, including those who prepare,
review,
advise, support, comment on, or otherwise participate in the
process
of environmental assessment.
I think this is a great opportunity for Canadian biologists to
influence the conceptualization and design of a national knowledge
system, and to ensure they are well represented in this
collaborative
community initiative from the start.
We have designed an online questionnaire consisting of 25 (mostly
multiple choice) questions to help stakeholders to communicate
their
requirements to us as quickly and easy as possible. We estimate it
will require about 15 minutes to complete.
Could you please complete the questionnaire, and forward it to your
membership by email or by posting the link on professional
networking
sites or collaborative workspaces. The deadline for responses to
the
questionnaire is February 27, 2009.

I would really appreciate your help in getting as much input to
this
questionnaire as possible! Let me know what you can do, thanks a lot,
Pauline
