Subject: FW: Aberdeen Civic Forum - Next meeting 28th March, and Schedule for
2017
Hi everyone,
The Civic Forum have struggled for a wee while to get organised and to build on
their membership. Some of you will be aware what the Civic Forum is and that
they are involved with Community Planning.
Jonathan has kindly sent me the agenda for the next meeting of the Civic Forum
along with the dates for the remainder of the year. Even if you can’t dedicate
any time to be a full member or to attend the meetings, it would be useful for
you all to have the information and to be able to feed into the process
electronically.
Kind regards
Karen Rennie

Subject: Aberdeen Civic Forum - Next meeting 28th March, and Schedule for 2017
Good morning everyone,
Civic Forum - Next Meeting, 28th March 2017
The next meeting of the Civic Forum (including Lead Group) is scheduled for:
Tuesday 28th March, 2017 from 7pm at the Town House on Broad Street.
Community Empowerment, Informing and Influencing Decisions:
This meeting will focus on the themes identified by Aberdeen's Community
Planning Partnership and covers all of the areas where the city's services
Partners can work together to make a more positive difference together than any
of them can individually.
These themes are also described in the 'Local Outcome Improvement Plan' and it
will be important to ensure that the priorities, views, suggestions and issues
experienced by communities are able to inform and influence the development of
services in the city.
Each of these themes also reflect the areas that will be covered by the newly
established 'Outcome Improvement Groups' and this will provide the chance to
provide recommendations to all of Aberdeen's Community Planning Partners toward
ensuring that our communities are as empowered, supported and represented as
possible in making the most positive differences over the months and years
ahead.
Meeting Dates and Schedule for 2017
There should also be attached the schedule of meetings for the Civic Forum over
the year ahead, and to which everyone is very welcome and very much encouraged
to attend the Full Meetings.
Each meeting of the Civic Forum has been scheduled to take place on the last
Tuesday of each month as the date and time when most members have reported
being available to attend.
For which, there should be agendas and additional documents distributed and
shared 1 - 2 weeks in advance of each meeting, when information becomes
available.
-
As always, if there would be any suggestions, questions or further information
that would be helpful to have in preparation for then or even over the future
you are very welcome to let me know.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Smith
