Meet your AISD District 7 Trustee Yasmin Wagner

Our AISD trustee will be available to discuss AISD’s Facilities Master
Plan, which includes a bond proposal and potential district boundary
changes for Cowan Elementary. This affects everyone in our neighborhood as
Cowan is a top rated school which not only benefits our children’s
education but also our property values! We would love participation from
all families with and without children.

An Austin resident for over 22 years, Yasmin has been devoted to serving
her community and advocating for families. Yasmin has served as the AISD
Trustee for District 7 since her appointment in September 2015. Yasmin’s
broad scope of civic leadership coupled with campus- and district-level
collaboration has given her a strong vantage point to better understand
what sets AISD apart, both in its successes and in its challenges.



AISD is facing some very challenging times. It is critical that we have
strong, collaborative and innovative leaders like Yasmin to dig in, build
bridges, and have the tough conversations that are necessary to deliver a
quality education to every student.
