Try PhotoImpact. I've used it for years and all the plugin's and such that are
made for PhotoShop work just fine in PhotoImpact.

I would like a program that I could edit photo's scenery and edit with a
professional editing program adding text- I would like to add gold lettering
with maybe some shadowing- something that doesn't look homemade I was
looking at Photoshop -- its quite expensive anything else that would fit the
bill and not cost an arm and a leg? These photos I took with my Nikon
