[CTS] Re: cable terminator (Russ)

A tech is coming tonight because my Mom is complaining about channel 9 (WDIV 4)
being behind Channel 4 (QVC owned by Comcast) and 62 (WE (Womens Entertainment)
being muted, and 19 distored looses sound complete sometimes. chaneel 19 is
Home Shopping Club and switchs to Game Show Network here and there. Well guess
someone is going to be Hooping and holering about my setup, so I have to tear
down the new splitter and put the old one up. Nice she tells me late last
night. They will be here from 6p-9p.

Thanks to your help and also watching the specs, everything meets their
requirments the only issue is "IF we do not install it, your SOL". The issues
have been happening before hand. I am not going to pay these people per hour
plus supplies for something I can do cheaper.
4 way splitter - $15
50 Ft Fiber/Copper coax - $30
Terminator - $2 (Shows the one I go to does have it. Now I know the exact look
and now with the part # someone should be able to find it.)

I see it helps with ghosting, which is what 4 is doing.

Thank you,
Eric Vogel

Terminating resistor - they should have them as item 15-1156

Any electronics store, Walmart's electroncis section where they have the
cable and crimps, etc - it's a common item (really just a metal cap that shorts
center to ground with a 50 ohm 1/8th watt resistor) BTW if it's not going to be
messed with take an 1/8th watt 50 ohm resistor (radio shack probably has those)
and stick one end in the female opening, then the other lead end to the
threaded outer shell and tape it on.

For the cable/internet in my house, what do I need to terminate a open plug
on the splitter and where can I get it? Radio Shack does not have it in their
stores.

    Thank you,
