Never a problem with memory listed for use with a certain brand name by
Crucial.

  Subject: [CTS] RAM

I am working with an older Gateway computer that needs more RAM. Gateway
says they don't manufacture RAM for this particular model any more. I
looked at the RAM avaiilable at Crucial.com, plus have spoken with them.
They have RAM that they say 'should' work in this Gateway.

In the past, I've accidentally installed the wrong RAM in a PC, and all
that happened is the PC wouldn't boot. However, I've been told that the
Gateway could be harmed if I get this RAM from Crucial and install it.

  Any advice/opinions?

  Thanks
  Peggy G
