[CTS] Re: Question

As far as I know, a time stamp is part of the directory entry for each file on your system. It records when the file was added or last changed. If something messed it up, it must have gone through your directories to do it. Maybe it was a crash or program malfunction. To be safe, scan the system for errors and any virus/malware present.

Was having a problem with my computer this morning when I was working on some really high end and intense graphics.. I thought it was just that I needed a reboot, the system was a little slow and then finally it locked up.

On resetting the machine, it went through the regular scan that happens when you don't shut down the way Billy likes you to, and during the scan it went through almost *everything* on my C: drive and listed next to each entry was the following error: "Invalid Time Stamp".

Everything *seems* to be working okay now, but I'm curious as to what that means and what causes it. Any thoughts?
