[COMP] Re: portable mp3 players

It's probably because Windows accesses the hard drive constantly. I've been
told that to minimise the risk of burning a coaster, the hard drive has to
mainly access the files that are being transfered. When my 120 is booted
into Linux, the hard drive is quiet - spins naturally but doesn't make those
crunching sounds like it does in Windows.
