[COMP] Re: portable mp3 players

Sounds pretty cool, but in the past it has seemed to me that the whole
object of MP3 players to have a small player with long life, and no moving
parts to skip?

That is the only reason I'd get an MP3 player. I've got a pretty expensive
Sony Discman that plays CDs, and has a digital radio in it so I'd just play
my CDs.

But... For me to take advantage of something like this - I'd first have to
get a computer that could burn CDs with a reasonable failure rate - or pay
megabucks for an external CD burner for my laptop (which is quite a bit more
powerful than my desktop).
