The following addresses are not to be routed over the internet:

192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255 (aka 192.168.0.0/16)
10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255 (aka 10.0.0.0/8)
172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255 (aka 172.16.0.0/12)

They originate from an RFC, with number RFC1918 .. If you would like to read
it all through, follow this link: ftp://www.ripe.net/rfc/rfc1918.txt

I wouldnt think so. You can run multiple ip networks over the same physical
cable, just a matter of configuring.
