Hi, I just added win2k and Redhat 7.0 to my lan...
previously it was 3 98 boxes and a linksys 4port
switching router serving as a NAT hooked up to
my cable modem.
My lan protocol was netbuei (cause it is non
routable and offered some security that way)
In order to use Samba must I do away with
netbuei and assign ip addresses to the 98 boxes?
Next question:
I know that the block of ip addresses with 192.168.xxx.xxx
are non routable...are the 10.10.xx.xx block of addys also
non routable?
Next question:
Must I install a second set of nics to share the network if
I'm going to have the linksys dhcp use 192.168.xx.xx
and the lan use some other ip addresses to share files?
thanks
David Bruce Jr
