Thanks guys, for the help with the mouse and info on the CD-RW. The mouse is
running sweet. I entered the command prompt as su and ran mouseconfig
setting the mouse to generic PS/2. As far as the CD-RW is concerned I have
tried anything yet.
New question: My Linux box is light on hard drive storage (1.08 GB),
its a Dell Dimension XPS P90c with 32MB of DRAM. I need a cheap, but good
second hard drive (or replacement) any suggestions? Next, any of you guys
ever use a KVM switch with Linux - my guess is that it is pretty transparent
to the OS, but you never know. I don't want to go out and buy one without a
good idea about the results.
Thanks.
:)) Kris

Run linuxconfig or whatever name they have given
to their configuration tool nowadays, and specify
that you have a psaux mouse. You will probably
have to reboot for this one.
ps/2 mice are different, but they are trivial to
setup with only a couple of parameters which are
normally offered by the normal config tools.
If you're still stuck, after trying, then I can
help you with things like setserial.
