Sounds GREAT. But does linux support this new printer I bought? :)

Have to say that I think the purchase of hardware, and the purchase
of software, should be *separate* purchases. A few years ago I called
DEC (before it was Compaq) and said "I would like to order a machine
WITHOUT AN OPERATING SYSTEM. I just want to buy the hardware from you."
They wouldn't sell me one unless I bought a Microsoft operating system.

That just ain't right.
