Which is SOOOO annoying ... I don't get what the big secret
is, they are selling HARDWARE, which is a little harder to
make duplicates of than a piece of software for crying
out loud.

This brings up a good point in the Microsoft vs. Open Source
thing as well.  For example the box I am typing this on has
an ATI RAGE-PRO in it, in X the Mach64 driver works
perfectly.  But, under windows, I occasionally get random
lockups while using IE.  Lame.  Here is Microsoft, a company
with paid engineers and you get random lockups.  Then there
is Open Source, people doing this in their free time and you
have something nice and stable and reliable.  What's wrong
with this picture?
