Hello,
I've got a D-Link 520 ethernet card here that
keeps dying in Windows98. About a week after
originally installing, it suddenly started giving
this message upon bootup:
Your network adapter is not working properly. You may
need to set it up again. For more information, see the
Network Troubleshooter in Windows Help.
Reinstalling the drivers didn't seem to help,
even after removing *everything* from the Network
Settings and reinstalling from scratch. It's a
pretty old PCI card and I think I remember hearing
something about how they aren't *really* PnP? hrmm...
Tried disabling PnP in the BIOS and presto, it
starts working.
That was a week ago. Just booted the machine
today and suddenly that error msg is back. I
haven't installed any new software or made any
changes whatsoever.
Any ideas/suggestions?
