[COMP] Re: Windows 2000

Win2k can be ran at home, I Am doing it right now on one of my partions.But
you lose some of it's network features. There are some hardware driver
problems but it loves my machine. It looks a little differnt than win98 but
it still has some of the same functions. You are right that the big
difference is under the hood. If you can run Win98 then Win2k isn't that
hard. but there are some changes that you will have to look out for. Even
those of us who use to run Win NT 4.0 had to learn some new stuff. As for
being more friendly then Linux not sure about that. I am going to try again
Saturday to get my linux running. Going to goto Corels site and lookup known
bugs and see what they say to do. If i can't get that to work i will switch
to Slackware 3.5. I love Win2k it makes my machine seem alot faster, and
hopefully linux will improve on that, The only problem i have is that it
locks up at random. I am still trying to track it down. But i think its the
fact that it's a Upgrade over 98se that was downgraded from something else.
I am also going to work on that. Later all. and good computing.
