[Comp] Problem & Best Wishes

Hi List,

Happy New Year to everyone. I have been with the list for almost a year now,
and have found it to be very helpful and interesting. John, you are doing a
great job and I look forward to your responses.Your great personality comes
through in a medium where it can be difficult to get a sense of someone.
Keep up the good work. Enough of the mushy stuff. Here is my problem.

I just got a scanner for Christmas, UMAX Astra 2000P. Installed OK. Scanner
test OK. It came with  Adobe Photo Deluxe 3.O Home Edition. As soon as I try
to open it I get a page fault. PD3 has caused a page fault in KERNEL32.DLL.
Uninstalled it and reinstalled it. I get PD3 has caused a page fault in
CRLTWN32.DLL.   Prior to the Scanner, I installed Print Shop Premier Edition
5.0. Same thing happened. Program has performed an illegal operation and
will be shut down, Print Shop has caused a page fault in CRLTWN32.DLL. All
graphic programs. Hate to disappoint you John, I am running Win98. Anyone
have any ideas as to what to do? This is making me crazy.
