[COMP] PC still losing time...help!

Hi, Well..new battery in, bios ok..etc.  But, when I got up this morning and 
turned on my monitor, I checked the time and it was off again, by about 5 or 
so minutes.  Aaarghh!!!!   Now..as I mentioned..I am having a fan problem, 
basically it runs, but sticks occaisionally, and as Bruce? told me..I need to 
lubricate it and see if that helps..I will get to that today or tomorrow, my 
question is, could a sticking fan cause my pc time to go off?  And if NOT, 
can anyone think of a reason?
