HRm.. could be several things, but most likely, you chose the wrong output
port.
Your output port should *NOT* be PS/2, since you are using your mouse in
serial mode. Specify the corresponding tty eg. ttyS00 (COM1) ttyS01 (COM2) etc

Whenever I am working with the Windows Registry I feel as I imagine an
FBI Special Agent might feel when they have to look through a dump for
forensic evidence, something like
"I went to law school to go through this garbage?"
