[COMP] DVD-ROM

I recently bought a computer with a DVD-ROM drive in it, and I would like to 
transfer it over to another computer of mine.  Problem is, the software I 
have is off of an eMachines CD-ROM.  Whenever I try to install the software 
needed to run the DVD-ROM drive, it says to install Windows 95 OSR 2.1 or 
later, and to also install Microsoft Directx Media.  I have no idea what to 
do.  If someone could please help me, it would be greatly appreciated.
