[COMP] Re: CrossOver cabling

Ok, but when I tried this and connect the cabling to
the hub, I get constant 'flickering' of the lights
on the hub, almost like data is being sent/received
constantly.
Another thing I should mention is that I am not 
using conventional ethernet cabling from one PC to 
the other - this cable has only 4 wires not 8 like 
standard ethernet cable.  This is the reason I asked 
about having the 8 wires present.
Would this cable be the cause of the problem(I really
hope not, because I already have it wired around the 
house), and if so why was I able to use the cable
for almost 8 months now in 'crossover' configuration
without any problems?
